Assurances of Faith

God is so gracious and good.  His plan from the beginning was to offer us salvation for us to ultimately enter into the kingdom of heaven.  But He knew the road would not be an easy path.  He tells us there will be trials and temptations that can work to lead us away from Him.  He knew the forces of evil are strong and deceptive and we would need assurances from Him to fight and stay straight on His path of righteousness.  He offers those assurances abundantly through our faith. 

I did a word search of the bible for faith and have listed a few of the over 100 verses written.  What I found are blessings we receive from God, and the way He works to give us everything we need.   Here is a list of what we are assured of through our faith. 

We will be upheld or supported

He Protects the way of the faithful

Our sin is atoned for

We will be richly blessed

We will be healed

Nothing will be impossible

Believers will grow in numbers

We are encouraged

We will have peace

We are able to stand firm

We are children of God

He will Protect us from the evil one

These are all blessings I need every day to keep focused on God and the life He has for me.  Our problems begin and grow when we take our eyes off of God.  This list shows He is offering everything we need in our daily lives, we just need to receive it.   Is there a blessing on this list you feel you need?  Look up the scripture and pray it throughout your day and allow the power of God’s word to work in you, through you and out of you.

2 Chronicles 20:20  Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld

Proverbs 2:8 for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

Proverbs 16:6 Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for

Proverbs 28:20 A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.

Matthew 9:22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Acts 16:5 So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.

Romans 1:12 that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.

Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Corinthians 1:24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm.

Galatians 3:26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,

Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
