Lent Day 7

Proverbs 24:14

Know that wisdom is like honey for you.

If you find it, there is a future hope for you,

and your hope will not be cut off.

Wisdom is compared to honey, sweet and pleasing and something to be desired by us.  If we seek out wisdom through scripture, we will find it.  When we find it we are promised a guaranteed hope that will not be cut off.  Scripture speaks to the importance of God’s wisdom in truth, pure truth that guides us, protects us, molds us to be Christ like, fills us with joy, comforts us in sorrow, gives us strength and confidence.  His wisdom is something to be vigilantly sought after and protectively guarded in our hearts because it is an invaluable treasure.  

Proverbs 4:11-13

I instruct you in the way of wisdom

And lead you along straight paths.

When you walk, your steps will not be hampered;

When you run, you will not stumble.

Hold on to instruction, do not let it go.

Guard It well, for it is your life.

Do not allow yourself to stumble by walking away from wisdom. Seek it daily and immerse your life in His word and He will make your path straight.  A path that leads to His promised hope and filled with His goodness, love and protection along the way.
